A powerful engine for the 2022 Volkswagen Taos
The first thing to know about the 2022 Volkswagen Taos is that it's a compact SUV, in the same class as the Tiguan. On the other hand, the Tiguan finds itself at the top of the segment in terms of space and performance while the Taos will target a clientele who do not need as much space, but who do not want an SUV that is too small either.
The 2022 Volkswagen Taos will therefore offer a generous cargo space that offers 795 liters of space even with all seats in place and up to 1877 liters. It’s more than many rivals in the same segment, and much more than models like the Toyota C-HR or the Nissan Qashqai.
Under the hood, the 2022 Volkswagen Taos will be treated to a new engine for the Volkswagen lineup, a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder that develops 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, which is no small feat. It will be offered with 4Motion all-wheel drive and all models will be entitled to a digital instrumentation display. Another exclusivity in the segment.
