2150 Enterprise Way, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 6H7The 2026 Volkswagen Atlas has arrived with a bold refresh that elevates its road presence and refines nearly every aspect of the driving and ownership experience. Designed with North American families in mind, the Atlas is built to offer space, flexibility, and performance without compromise.
The 2026 model introduces a redesigned front fascia with updated LED lighting, a more pronounced grille, and newly available wheel designs ranging from 18 to 21 inches. It’s a more confident and sculpted look that reinforces the Atlas’s role as a true midsize SUV.
Inside, the Atlas benefits from a more upscale dashboard layout, soft-touch materials throughout, and enhanced insulation for a quieter cabin. The new standard digital instrument cluster and available 12-inch infotainment display create a fully digital user experience.
Seating remains generous with three rows and standard seven-passenger capacity, though a six-seat configuration with captain’s chairs is available on select trims.
Powertrain & Driving Dynamics
Under the hood, the 2026 Atlas is now offered exclusively with a refined 2.0L turbocharged engine producing 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain replaces the outgoing V6 and offers improved fuel efficiency with very little trade-off in performance.
Standard front-wheel drive is available for base trims, while most versions feature Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive for superior control in adverse conditions. Ride quality has also been improved, with revised suspension tuning that enhances comfort and cornering feel without sacrificing towing capacity—rated at up to 5,000 lbs when properly equipped.
The Atlas is loaded with smart family features, including:
