The Vehicle Dynamics Manager (VDM) constantly monitors driver input to optimize vehicle response, creating a neutral balance with minimal understeer.
In the Autobahn trim, which is equipped with available Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adaptive dampers, the VDM can adjust individual wheel damping rates 200 times per second for improved lateral agility and stability.
Talk torque
The Vorderachsquersperre (or VAQ) is a torque-sensing, electro-hydraulic limited slip differential that’s electronically controlled for ultimate precision. Working in concert with the Golf GTI’s Vehicle Dynamics Manager, VAQ controls torque distribution across the front axle. When accelerating out of a corner or in slippery conditions, VAQ is designed to precisely shift power left –and right for improved traction and control.
Fine-tuned to you
Available on the Autobahn trim, Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) reacts to the road surface and driving conditions to adjust the suspension damping rate and optimize performance. Pre-set profiles include Comfort, Eco, and Sport, while Individual mode offers even further customization.
