Safety technologies are more and more present on modern cars, but it is sometimes difficult to understand what each technology can do for us on a daily basis. Take, for example, adaptive cruise control.
Isn’t it a simple cruise control? No, in fact it is an optional or standard advanced safety system offered on several new Volkswagen models that aims to reduce driver fatigue, improve peace of mind and prevent accidents when we activate the cruise control system.
The system works quite simply. When you turn on cruise control, technology monitors the road in front of you to see if the vehicle in front of you brakes suddenly or slows down. If this is the case, your vehicle may also slow down automatically to maintain a distance that you set in advance. Driving on the highway without ever touching the brake while keeping a safe distance with other vehicles is possible and done automatically for you. It can also be deactivated.
Come meet us today to learn more about intelligent cruise control technology.
