Volkswagen Atlas 2021: Better Than Ever

The Atlas takes on 2021 with new styling features, new technologies and inclusions like 4MOTION AWD throughout the lineup. This 3-row family hauler is offered in Trendline, Comfortline, Highline and Execline trims along with an R-Line package that injects more style in an already head-turning package.

The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas offers a choice of power levels

Depending on the variant you choose, you will get a choice of two engines. First, a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder that generates 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque is available for maximum efficiency. Need to tow a boat, an RV, or just need more power? You can opt for a 3.6-litre, six-cylinder engine that dishes out 276 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. With a 5000 lb towing capacity, the Atlas equipped with the 3.6-Litre can take on any weekend adventure.

Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic. The 4MOION AWD system is now standard throughout the lineup.

The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas adds plenty of technology

The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas gets new additions inside the cabin. Available heated rear seats, wireless charging and the crystal-clear Volkswagen Digital Cockpit are among them. The Execline provides concert-like sound quality thanks to a powerful Fender Premium Audio System with 12 speakers and a subwoofer.

The R-line package adds a unique bumper design, side skirts, 21-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, as well as signature R-line badging and a set of brushed aluminum pedals.

The 2021 Atlas is still as specious as before, with a total of 2,741 litres of cargo capacity behind the front seats. Fold the third row and you will still get 1,572 litres of cargo volume behind the rear seats. Third row passengers get the greatest amount of legroom available in the class.

Safety is also still a priority, with advanced standard technologies throughout the lineup like the Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert, Front Assist and Autonomous Emergency Braking, Hill Descent Control, Pedestrian Detection and Front and rear Side Curtain Protection with front side airbags.

But you can also get THE available Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop and Go, Dynamic headlights with cornering lights, Overhead View Camera (Area View) as well as Traffic Jam Assist and Dynamic Road Sign Display depending on the variant you choose.
